Kompass ohne Norden is the eleventh solo album by the Berlin rapper Prinz Pi . It was released on April 12, 2013 via his independent label Keine Liebe Records as a standard, premium and Amazon edition, including DVD, book, autograph card and t-shirt.

The album was created in a process over a long period of time. The lyrics are mostly very profound. So the first song deals with the expectations in life to the point where things finally start, but which is never reached. Other issues are the preference of youth over adulthood in today's society, as well as various emotions, especially love.

production

Most of the instrumentals on the album were composed by Matthias Millhoff and David Poltrock. Prince Pi himself took part in three beats. One instrumental each comes from Sam Exzellent and Valencia. Matthias Millhoff took care of the production, mixing and mastering of all titles.

The only guest appearance on the album comes from the rapper Casper , who can be heard on the song 100X .

Kompass ohne Norden entered the German album charts at number 1 , which means the first top position of his career for Prinz Pi. In the second week the record fell to 9th place. Overall, the album stayed in the top 100 for 19 weeks. In the German annual charts for 2013, the sound carrier was ranked 71st.

On December 28, 2012, the album's first single, Unser Platz, was released for download. She was able to place herself at number 54 in the German charts for a week. The second single 100X was released on March 1, 2013 for download, was published on the Internet as a music video and was 50th in the German charts for a week. On March 29, 2013, another video for the song Glück premiered on the Internet, which reached number 68 in the German charts for a week. Another music video for the title track Kompass ohne Norden was released on April 19, 2013. The song was not officially released as a single, but rose to 82nd place in the German charts due to the high number of downloads and stayed in the top 100 for two weeks. On July 29, 2013, a video for the song Fähnchen im Wind was also released .
