reception
The website rap.de gave Neopunk a positive rating and certified the rapper a successful change of style:
“ Prinz Pi has reinvented itself musically and image-wise and to anticipate the conclusion: it pleases. Already the intro 'Super Seiajin' with the support of DJ Craft indicates the direction of the album. Driving, sometimes more, sometimes less experimental beats. [...] The majority of the hooks are predestined to be shouted along by frenetic audiences due to their emphatically simple and slogan-like style. [...] Regardless of whether it is the 'Gib Dem Affen Zucker' which mutates into a catchy tune right after the first listen, the live audience animation 'Spring', which has been put on record, or the great 'We Stay Always Anti', which at least in my eyes is an absolute one To count the highlight of 'Neopunk' is - that's just music to jump around and go crazy. [...] 'Neopunk' is a good album. Maybe not everyone likes it, but it can inspire. "

The website laut.de rated the album with four out of a possible five points and noted that it stood out from the average hip-hop records:
“ Here the rapper and his producer perfect the principle of Prinz Pi: In the style of Swiss watchmaking, statement, flow and beats merge into more than the sum of the parts. There they are, the tracks, which 'could also be on thunderstorm in terms of style' and the Biztram tailor-made for the prince in the form of beat-lined instrumental robes. [...] Neopunk is circuit training pressed onto black polycarbonate: Fall on your knees, jump into the air, occasionally raise an eyebrow critically, poke until someone howls and then all over again. The genetics of the songs in terms of content remain fundamentally untouched: story, social criticism and party that just sounds like it. Beat surgeon Biztram uses the defibrillator to mix up the DNA pool creatively, sometimes a little eccentrically, but always very electrically. "
