Juan Carlos Salgado
Juan Carlos Salgado (* 20th December 1984 in Mexico City , Mexico ) is a Mexican boxer in the super featherweight and southpaw .

When he became WBA World Champion against Jorge Linares on October 10, 2009 , he was undefeated (20-0-1), Linares was also undefeated (27-0-0). However, he lost the belt in his first title defense the following year.
In September 2011 he also won the IBF World Championship title with a unanimous victory over Algenis Mendez . He defended this belt twice and lost it on March 9, 2013 in a rematch against Mendez.
