Eichenried is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Moosinning in the district of Erding . The place has 2518 inhabitants (as of 2016).
geography
Eichenried borders on Fischerhäuser ( Ismaning municipality ) 7 km in the southwest, Moosinning, Eicherloh ( Finsing municipality ) and Goldach ( Hallbergmoos municipality ).
history
Eichenried is relatively young. With the peat railway to Ismaning built by Egon von Poschinger in 1896, peat cutters settled in the moss. This is how Zengermoos and Moosinninger Moos were created. In 1922 the Moosinninger Moos area was renamed Eichenried. The Catholic Church of St. Joseph is located in Eichenried and was consecrated in 1953.
