The house Eickener road 44 a is in the district Eicken in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The house was built in the 17th century. It was entered under no. E 012 on September 13, 1988 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
architecture
The house is a dominant corner building in the historical development of the front Eickener Straße between the Hindenburgstraße and the parish church . Together with the neighboring houses Eickener Straße 44, 42, 40-38 and the corner house Eickener Straße 55 opposite and the commercial building Eickener Straße 57, it forms a closed historical ensemble .
The two-storey corner house from 1880 with a steep mansard roof is a former manufacturer's villa . The main facade with four window axes on Eickener Straße. On the upper floor a bay window with arched windows and triangular gable. In the frieze zone there is a stucco "fitting" on which the year of construction is written: "Anno Domino 1880"
