Eidolon is a Canadian power metal band led by brothers Shawn and Glen Drover . It was founded in 1993 and has not been active for an indefinite period since 2007.
history
Eidolon was founded in 1993 by Shawn and Glen Drover. First they worked with Brian Soulard on vocals and Chris Bailey on bass. The band worked in the Drover brothers' own studio. The debut Zero Hour was released in 1996 . The successor Seven Spirits was a concept album . The band then signed with Metal Blade Records , where they released three more albums and were under contract until 2004. In 2005 Nils K. Rue ( Pagan's Mind ) became the new singer. In 2007 the band was put on hold when the Drover brothers joined Megadeth. In 2010 Shawn Drover said there were no plans for another album with the band. In December 2015 the band once again drew attention to itself with a small musical sign of life. In the same line-up that recorded the album The Parallel Otherworld in 2006 , Eidolon recorded the single Leave This World Behind , which was only released in digital format.
