Eiji Satō ( Japanese 佐藤 英 二 , Satō Eiji ; born April 8, 1971 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Satō learned to play football in the youth team of Mitsubishi Yowa SC . He signed his first contract with Mitsubishi Motors in 1990 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League . With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, Mitsubishi Motors became Urawa Reds . For the club he completed 26 first division games. In 1995 he moved to the second division club Fukushima FC . For the club he completed 23 games. In 1996 he moved to Sony Sendai FC . For the club he completed 97 games. At the end of 2002 he ended his career as a football player.
