Eilert Wilcks (born October 3, 1960 in Stotel ) is a German architect .

biography

Eilert Wilcks was born in Stotel in the Cuxhaven district, he works and lives in Hamburg and Sandstedt .

• 1980 apprenticeship as carpenter
• 1982 Abitur in Osterholz-Scharmbeck
• 1984 Ship carpenter on the four-masted barque SY Sea Cloud
• 1985–1989 Craftsman and planning activity in monument preservation
• 1987 master craftsman in the carpentry trade
• 1989–1994 studied architecture at the University of Bremen
• 1994 Diploma thesis “Media-Kaaba” with distinction, draft of a conversion concept for the former public swimming pool in Bremerhaven- Mitte , designed in the 1950s
• 1995 Founding of his own architectural office Eilert Wilcks Architekten with offices in Hamburg and Sandstedt
• 2001 SIGEKO training as a health and safety coordinator

Architectural principle

In his drafts and plans, Wilcks places the positive feedback of architecture on the residents over the purely functional fulfillment of a building - both for new buildings and for existing buildings; this applies to projects in the private residential environment as well as to projects in the professional environment.
