Eimmart is an impact crater on the northeastern front of the moon , between the edge of the Mare Crisium and the Mare Anguis . The rim of the crater is moderately eroded, the interior is largely flat, except for landslides, especially in the south.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German astronomer Georg Christoph Eimmart .
