The film describes the life of Argyris Sfountouris , who at the age of just under four lost his parents and 30 other relatives in the Distomo massacre . Argyris Sfountouris came to the Pestalozzi Children's Village in Trogen, Switzerland. Years later he did his doctorate in mathematics and astrophysics at the ETH Zurich . He then taught at high schools in Zurich, translated Greek poets such as Nikiforos Vrettakos into German and later worked for several years, also with the Swiss Disaster Relief Corps , as a development aid worker in Somalia, Nepal and Indonesia. During the dictatorship of the colonels from 1967 to 1974 he supported the resistance and edited the Propylaea magazine for Greece .
