An Indian Summer (Italian: Tutto ricominciò con un'estate indiana ) is a graphic novel by the Italians Hugo Pratt (text) and Milo Manara (drawings) from 1983.

New England in the 17th century: Violent attacks ensue following the murder of two young Indians who had recently raped Shevah, the Reverend's niece. The Indians set a house on fire and eventually raid the settlement of the Puritan colonialists. The British then decide to move away.

The story was the first collaboration between Pratt and Manara and first appeared in sequels from 1983 to 1984 in the new magazine Corto Maltese . In 1986 it was first printed as an album at Milano Libri. In Germany, the story was also published in 1986 in two volumes by Carlsen Verlag . In 2009 it was printed by Panini .

In 1987 the story was awarded the Prix ​​du meilleur album étranger at the Angoulême festival .
