Einar (singer)
Einar (born May 22, 1993 in Santiago , Cuba , as Einar Ortiz ) is an Italian pop singer .
Career
Einar moved to Italy with his mother and sister when he was nine years old and has lived in the province of Brescia ever since . There he later worked in a factory. Due to his great enthusiasm for music, he first signed up for the castings for the 11th season of X Factor in 2017, and finally in 2018 for the 17th season of the casting show Amici di Maria De Filippi . In that show, he made it to the finals and eventually ended up in third place. His self-titled debut EP contained four of his own songs and three covers from the show and reached number four on the charts. With the song Centomila volte , Einar also made it to the final of Sanremo Giovani at the end of the year , where he prevailed against eleven competitors on the first evening and secured a place in the 2019 Sanremo Festival . There he only reached the penultimate place with Parole nuove .
