Einar Stray Orchestra (until 2013: Einar Stray) is a Norwegian indie pop and post rock band.
Einar Stray started her music in Skandvika, a small community southwest of Oslo. At Popkomm in Berlin they came into contact with the label Sinnbus , with which they have been under contract ever since. In 2011 her debut album Chiaroscuro was released in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Japan and Norway. Chiaroscuro is an expression from painting for light-dark stagings and in this case stands for Einar Strays melancholy indie pop, with which they want to represent the dualism of good and bad.
Her music is through Bright Eyes , Sufjan Stevens and Godspeed You! Black Emperor inspired.
