The enclosure wall of the Schrote parade ground is a listed wall in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the southwest side of the street Am Krökentor in the northern part of Magdeburg's old town in front of the property at Am Krökentor 8 . On the opposite side of the street is the building of the Otto von Guericke vocational school , which is also a listed building .
Design and history
The brick wall, made of red and yellow bricks, was built in 1913. It served as a fence around the shot parade ground , which was created at this time after the fortress structures on the northern front of Magdeburg Fortress were demolished and in this area barracks, wagon houses and other barracks military buildings were built.
Only the 30-meter-long section in front of the Am Krökentor 8 property has been preserved from the original enclosure wall of the parade ground . The wall is characteristic of the street scene and belongs to the ensemble of the neo-baroque rectorate building to the west , the former machine gun barracks and other buildings of the university.
The brick wall is supported by seven pillars made of yellow bricks. The wall itself consists of red bricks, with a structure with yellow bricks. The base of the wall is made of red bricks. The pillars are higher than the wall and structured and crowned with red bricks. There are decorative wrought iron grids between the pillars.
In the local register of monuments , the enclosure is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 75063 .
