The Burmester Dome is a 2095 m high, icy and domed mountain in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Forrestal Range of the Pensacola Mountains it rises from the west-central Saratoga Table .
At the suggestion of geologist Arthur B. Ford of the United States Geological Survey , the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain after the geologist Russell F. Burmester of Western Washington University , who worked in the Forrestal Range from 1978 to 1979.
