Task Force Tigris

The Tigris Task Force is a special unit of the Swiss Federal Criminal Police . The task force is based in the Worblaufen barracks near Bern.

The task force is called in if in individual cases an increased risk of the use of force is to be expected. The task force is also responsible for security police instructions as well as training and further education for employees in the Federal Office of Police . From 2005 to spring 2009, the task force carried out 132 operational assignments. 59 of these cases were targeted searches, 47 arrests, 8 transports and 18 protection missions.
