Task force diving team

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A dive team is part of a water rescue group or a rapid action group for water rescue . It is provided by water rescue organizations such as the Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft (DLRG), the water rescue service , the Austrian water rescue service (ÖWR), the municipal fire brigades or the police .

Its range of uses extends in particular to the search and rescue of drowning people, the search and recovery of corpses and the recovery of property from the water. However, it can also be used to combat damage in the water (e.g. oil weir ) or to protect other emergency services (e.g. when building a flood dam).

Normally, the diving team has a GW-W with the fire brigade, or a GWW , WRW or GW-T with the other water rescue organizations.

Members of a diving team

A dive team usually consists of at least one (e.g. according to GUV rule 2101 (Germany))

Depending on the situation, additional units can be called in. For every rescue diving mission, a diving operations leader (TaEF) or diving operations manager (TEL) must take responsibility for one or more diving teams.
