Water rescue group

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The water rescue group ( WRG for short ) of the Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft , the ASB water rescue service or the water rescue service consists of a boat squad and a diving squad and thus corresponds to the rapid action group water rescue (SEG-WR) in terms of team and equipment. The main difference lies in the period in which such a group must be ready for action in an emergency, as a rapid response group as a unit of the (water) rescue service is bound to the time limit for assistance and thus already in 5–10 minutes after the alarm from the control center is ready for action, while the water rescue group is a unit of the civil protection and thus has a longer lead time.

Two WRG, two SEG-WR or one WRG and one SEG-WR form the core of the water rescue train , which also includes several specialist groups if possible .
