Water rescue train
The water rescue train ( WRZ for short ) is a tactical unit in the extended rescue service and disaster control . Normally it is provided by the water rescue organizations , in particular the German Life Rescue Society (DLRG) , the water rescue service of the DRK or the water rescue service of the ASB .
The minimum requirements are regulated by a strength and equipment certificate (STAN) . A WRZ consists of at least the following units:
A water rescue group in turn consists of a motorboat squad and a diving squad .
In addition, the following specialist groups can strengthen the water rescue service:

The water rescue train is used in the event of a disaster as well as in special emergency situations such as a mass casualty of injured persons ( MANV ). His tasks include:
- Rescuing people and animals from dangerous situations
- Transporting away a large number of those affected
- Supply of trapped parts of the population
- Fuse links for other authorities and organizations with security tasks
- People search
- Salvages
- Flood relief and dike defense
