Recruitment test

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Recruitment tests serve as instruments for selecting applicants in the application process .

Sense and purpose

Recruitment tests are used by organizations (e.g. companies , institutions or public administration ) to determine whether applicants are suitable for a particular job . As a rule, these test procedures are multi-stage and serve the organizations in various areas to check whether applicants meet the requirements necessary for a position. Today, these test procedures have become irreplaceable instruments, as they are intended to ensure selection based on objective criteria. The use of these test procedures is particularly useful for employers because they allow a comparison to be drawn between applicants with very different levels of competence.

Contents and test fields

Most of the time, the content of the tests is geared towards the requirements of the relevant professional field. However, there are basically four areas in which testing is primarily carried out:

personality

Knowledge

intelligence

concentration

In addition to general and technical knowledge, applicants must also have a certain personality profile in some professional fields. The personality test is then carried out as an integral part of the recruitment test.
