Unique forms of continuity in space (it .: Forme uniche della continuità nello spazio ) is a sculpture from 1913 by Umberto Boccioni . The futurist Boccioni used the sculpture to depict a person in motion. This was the fourth draft in a series of people walking and is the only one that has survived.

Casts are z. B. in the Kunsthalle Mannheim , Tate Modern (London), Museum of Modern Art (New York), Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Kröller-Müller Museum (Otterlo), in the Museo del Novecento (Milan) and the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna (Rome).

At the beginning of the 20th century, many artists were interested in movement and its representation. Pioneers / key figures here included Eadweard Muybridge (movement studies), Théophile Steinlen ( It Burns! ), Giacomo Balla ( Dynamism of a Dog on a Leash ) and Marcel Duchamp ( Nude, Descending Stairs No. 2 , 1912).
