The Eisackfall is a waterfall and a hydrological natural monument in the municipality of Brenner in South Tyrol ( Northern Italy ). It is located just above the Brenner Pass , where the young Eisack flows down from the Sattelberg .

description

In the Eisackfall, the river falls over an almost vertical escarpment and forms a cascade that is only slightly stepped . The rock of the steep steps consists of quartz phyllite . The outflow of the waterfall is at the end of the long flat stretch of the Eisack, which is not yet too watery. The outflow is at an altitude of 1412 meters and the fall basin at an altitude of 1380 meters; thus the height of fall of the cascade is 32 meters. In 1989 the waterfall was declared a natural monument.
