Polar bear prison

The world's only polar bear prison is located in the Canadian city of Churchill in the province of Manitoba . It was built in 1980 and is used to imprison so-called problem bears , ie polar bears that come into the city in search of food. The animals stay in prison for 30 days and receive no food during this time, after which they are flown out. This is to ensure that the bears stay away from the city in the future.
