Ice rink Charlottenburg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ice rink Charlottenburg ( also called PO9 in Berlin vernacular ) is one of the two ice rink facilities in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf with two competition-style ice surfaces, approx. 30 x 60 meters in size, designed as a closed hall and a covered open area. It is located on the Berlin Olympic site , which - according to the name - is not in the district of Charlottenburg , but in the district of Westend . The grandstand of the closed hall offers space for 1000 spectators (700 seats and 300 standing places). The hall was built to replace the Deutschlandhalle , which was closed in 2009 , and opened on March 3, 2012.

The hall is the training and venue for many Berlin ice sports clubs, including the ECC Preussen Berlin ice hockey club .
