Ice age loess profile

Ice Age loess profile is the name of a nature reserve in the Rhineland-Palatinate city of Koblenz . The almost 2.0 hectare nature reserve with the number 7111-003 is located in the south of Koblenz-Metternich, west of the Moselle and west of the B 416 . The preservation of the ice age loess profile due to its supraregional geological and prehistoric importance for scientific and cultural reasons is given as a protective purpose . The profile wall lies on the Moselle slope between vineyard and settlement areas; the area is predominantly tree-lined or covered with bushes.
