Kenneth C. Griffin (born October 15, 1968 in Daytona Beach , Florida ) is an American entrepreneur and art collector .

Life

Griffin graduated from Harvard University with a degree in economics. He founded Citadel , a hedge fund company of which he is sole chairman.

Griffin acquired the pop art painting False Start by Jasper Johns from David Geffen in 2006 . He was married to the French manager Anne Dias-Griffin, has 2 children and lives in Chicago . According to Forbes Magazine , Griffin is one of the richest Americans and is listed in The World's Billionaires .

From June 11th to 14th, 2015 he took part in the 63rd Bilderberg Conference in Telfs-Buchen , Austria .
