EIZO Corporation ( Japanese EIZO 株式会社 EIZO Kabushiki kaisha ), EIZO for short , is a Japanese manufacturer of computer monitors .

The name "EIZO" is an allusion to the Japanese word for "image" ( Japanese 映像 , eizō in romaji ).

Products

EIZO FlexScan L461 (16 inch)

The company's product range includes different screens in the upper price range. EIZO tries not to sell a universal solution for all purposes, but rather specially developed products for applications mainly in the commercial sector. Different product lines emerged from this principle.

The FlexScan line was developed for office applications, which was mainly designed for word processing, business applications and CAD and is available in different formats and designs. In addition to today's LCD monitors, FlexScan also referred to earlier tube monitors for office applications.

The ColorEdge series achieves extremely precise color reproduction, for which special accessories such as color sensors for calibration are also sold. The areas of application for these products range from image processing to film and television productions.

The Foris series was developed for the gaming / home entertainment market, which is very well suited for fast computer games thanks to its fast response time.

With the products of the DuraVision series, a robust system is available for industry that can also be installed in racks and withstand high loads such as temperature differences, vibrations, shocks, etc. Screen solutions for control rooms, ship bridges and monitoring applications are also offered in this line.

Furthermore, separate product classes called RadiForce and CuratOR have been developed for medicine, which in turn are divided into separate categories for different purposes. There are color and grayscale monitors for radiological diagnosis, monitors for medical viewing, monitors for the operating theater and a wide range of accessories to choose from. All RadiForce and CuratOR monitors meet the approval criteria for medical applications. The RadiForce series is sometimes not sold directly to end customers, which is not least due to the high end price of up to over € 20,000.
