Ekrem Ceyhun

Ertuğrul Ekrem Ceyhun (born February 4, 1927 in Erzurum , † April 2, 2017 in Ankara ) was a Turkish politician.

Life

Ertuğrul Ekrem was born in 1927 as the son of Ömer Bey. After graduating in civil engineering from İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi in 1952 , he worked in the Ministry of Transport. There he rose to the Undersecretary of State and in 1977 to Istanbul deputies to the Adalet Partisi in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey elected. In the governments of Süleyman Demirel in 1977/78 and 1979/80 he was Minister of State.

In 1991 Ceyhun became a member of the Doğru Yol Partisi for Balikesir and sat in the National Assembly until 1995. In October 1991 he was reappointed Minister of State and was in office until June 25, 1993.

Ceyhun died in 2017 at the age of 90 in İbni Sina Hospital in Ankara. He was married and had three children.
