The Adalet Partisi ( AP for short , German: Justice Party ) was a political party in Turkey .
history
The liberal- conservative oriented party was founded in 1961 and was a successor to the banned shortly before Democrat Parti of Adnan Menderes . Under Süleyman Demirel she was the government on several occasions (from 1965 to 1971, from 1975 to 1977 and from 1979 to 1980). It was banned after the 1980 military coup .
In 1983, the Dogru Yol Partisi (DYP) was founded as the successor organization, which has been called Democrat Parti since 2007 .
