El Peix or completely El Peix d'Or ( Catalan for The Fish of Gold ; El Pez De Oro in Spanish ) is a work of art on the promenade in Barcelona that was erected duringthe 1992 Olympic Games .
It is a 35 m high and 54 m long metal construction, the appearance of which changes depending on the intensity and direction of the sunlight.
The fish made of gold comes from the Canadian architect Frank Gehry , who u. a. has also worked on the Dancing House in Prague and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao .
