Eleazar ben Zadok I.

R. Eleazar ben Zadok I. (R. Eleazar ben Tsadoq = son of Tsadoq ) was a Jewish scholar of antiquity, worked around the year 50 and belonged to the so-called 2nd generation of the Tannaites .

He was a student of R. Jochanan b. Hachoranit and traded in wine and oil in Jerusalem together with Abba Saul ben Batnit .

He had a grandson of the same name ( Eleazar ben Zadok II ).
