Elena Camarena (* in the 20th century in Guadalajara , Mexico ) is a Mexican - German pianist . Repeated public appearances made her known as an outstanding talent even in her youth.

Life

She received her first piano lessons at the age of five. At the age of 18 she received a DAAD scholarship to continue her musical studies in Germany. At the age of 21, she passed the state examination as a qualified music teacher at the Saarland University of Music . Then she completed a soloist training at the Folkwang University in Essen .

After her training in the musical tradition of prominent representatives of the old German piano school, she began her career as a soloist and in the piano duo Camarena- Kessler .

Since 1973 she has taken concert tours outside of Europe to Asia, South America, Central and North America, the former USSR, with performances including the entire duo of Mozart , Schubert and Brahms . Participation in international festivals in Russia, America and Germany also made her in demand as a teacher.

In 1984 she became titular professor of piano at the University of Guadalajara , from 1989 to 1993 she was dean of the faculty of music of the same.

International record production at Sound - Star Ton and radio broadcasts in various international and all German classic radio stations bear testimony to their art of interpretation.

Elena Camarena currently lives in Germany, from where she is invited to courses and seminars on pianistic perfecting from various universities. In her public appearances she only plays works by Frédéric Chopin , with whose oeuvre she deals intensively.
