Elena Hauer (born February 13, 1986 in Meerbusch ) is a German soccer player . The defender has been under contract with Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg since January 2014 .

Career

Hauer started her career at Linner SV . In 2001 she moved to FCR 2001 Duisburg. On August 17, 2003, she made her Bundesliga debut against FFC Brauweiler Pulheim . With Duisburg she was runner-up four times in a row between 2005 and 2008 and was in the final of the DFB Cup in 2007 with her team . In addition, she won the DFB Cup with Duisburg in 2009 and 2010 and the UEFA Women's Cup in 2009 . In summer 2010 she moved to SG Essen-Schönebeck. In January she moved from Essen back to FCR Duisburg, where she was not eligible to play. In June her contract was extended for one year.

With the U-19 national team , she took part in the European Championship in 2003 and 2004 . After the Vice European Championship in 2004, she became world champion in the same year .
