Elena Møller Rigas (born January 29, 1996 ) is a Danish speed skater .

Career

Møller Rigas competed internationally at the 2014 Junior World Championships in Bjugn . Her best placement there was 22nd in the mini four-way battle. She made her debut in the World Cup in December 2014 in Berlin , finishing 25th in the 3000m in group B and 14th in the mass start. Her best result at the 2015 World Junior Championships in Warsaw was fourth place in the mass start. In February 2017, she finished eighth in the mass start at the Individual Distance World Championships in Gangwon . In the 2017/18 season in Calgary she achieved her first podium finish in the World Cup with second place in the mass start and sixth place in the mass start World Cup at the end of the season. At the highlight of the season, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she was eliminated in the mass start in the semifinals and thus achieved 20th place. The following season she came in tenth place in the mass start World Cup. At the individual distance world championships in 2019 in Inzell , she was sixth in the mass start.
