Eleonore Mühlbauer (born January 26, 1964 in Augsburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 2009 to 2019 .

Career

Mühlbauer studied architecture in Augsburg and Istanbul and graduated in 1991 with a degree in structural engineering . She has been running an architecture office in Erfurt since 1994 and has been a freelance architect since 2009.

Mühlbauer has been a member of the SPD since 2000. She is deputy district chairwoman of the party in the Ilm district and local association chairwoman in Arnstadt . In the state elections in 2009 , Mühlbauer was elected to the Thuringian state parliament at number 9 on the SPD state list, and in 2014 she moved into the state parliament again. On June 26, 2019, she was elected deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. In the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 , she lost her mandate.

Mühlbauer is married and has one daughter.
