Elfi Marten-Brockmann is a former German journalist and TV presenter on ARD .

Elfi Marten-Brockmann was spokeswoman for the news program Tagesschau on ARD from 1981 . After Dagmar Berghoff , who presented the program from 1975 to 1999, she was the second female spokesperson for the Tagesschau . In 1984 she ended her moderation or her voiceover activity; her successor was Daniela Witte in 1985 . However, Elfi Marten-Brockmann was not seen in the main edition of the Tagesschau at 8 p.m., but at most as an off-speaker. In addition, she also worked as a regular news anchor and program announcer for NDR radio (primarily NDR 2 and NDR 3) until the second half of the 1980s.

Elfi Marten-Brockmann has two sons, the author Thomas and the television producer Stephan.
