Elfriede Huber-Abrahamowicz

Elfriede Huber-Abrahamowicz (born December 19, 1922 in Vienna , † July 15, 2001 in Zurich ) was an Austrian-Swiss writer who published poems, short stories, novels and philosophical treatises. She was married to the Swiss philosopher and university professor Gerhard Huber .

Life

Elfriede Huber-Abrahamowicz was born on December 19, 1922 in Vienna. In 1939 she emigrated to Switzerland and studied philosophy, psychology and German language and literature in Basel, completing her doctorate in 1950. In 1948 she married Gerhard Huber and had two daughters. She worked as a writer, mother, housewife and visiting professor and published poems, short stories, novels and philosophical treatises. In 1965 she was awarded the Conrad Ferdinand Meyer Prize . She died on July 15, 2001 in Zurich.
