Eli Aflalo ( Hebrew אלי אפללו, Born September 8, 1952 in Casablanca ) is an Israeli politician and former Minister for the Reception of Immigrants .

Life

Aflalo moved to Israel in 1962, where he did his military service. He became a member of the Knesset for Likud in 2003 and was appointed Deputy Minister for Industry, Economy and Trade on March 30, 2005. On July 14, 2008, he became Minister for the Reception of Immigrants. He held the office until March 2009. Aflalo was able to keep his seat in the 2009 elections after being number 14 on the list of Kadima. In 2012 he left the Knesset.
