Elias Elastisch (born August 17, 1985 in Greifswald , real name Elias Liermann ) is a contemporary pantomime and visual artist .

Life

From 2007 to 2010 he studied pantomime / mime at the Etage in Berlin. His teachers included Anke Gerber , Radim Vizvary, Oliver Pollak, Oleg Zhukovskiy from the dance theater ensemble Derevo and Irena Andreeva from the Novogo Fronta theater. Elias Elastisch is now a lecturer in pantomime himself, gives workshops and works as a choreographer for artistry and theater.

His repertoire ranges from walk-act characters to his own dramaturgically structured narratives. Especially in his stage work, he does not limit himself to classical elements of pantomime, but also integrates juggling and clowning. Elias Elastisch had already come into contact with both before his studies. His productions are largely inspired by elements of modern pop and film culture. Scenic image composition, dramaturgy and background music come from different film genres such as film noir . As for Marcel Marceau , for Elias Elastisch, pantomime and cinema are related.

Elias Elastisch mainly performs in Berlin, but also tours all over Germany. In autumn 2014 he took part in the International Clown Mime Festival (near Seoul, South Korea). He has numerous solo programs (including "Laute Stille" or "Mad Man Circus") and has launched various projects with various artists. These include the mime collective Wurmpüree Deluxe (since 2012) and, since 2016, the Kadarka circus - La Familia , the Apocalyptic Revenge Theater - Clowns Vs. Mime and Duo Mimicry - Visual Short Stories . In the same year Elias Elastisch took part in Christoph Hagel's production of Mozart's opera, The False Gardener in the Bode Museum . There he embodied the gardener Antonio of Count Belfiore.
