Eliot Pattison (2005)

Joseph Eliot Pattison (born October 20, 1951 ) is an American lawyer, journalist and author of crime fiction .

As a specialist in international law, he worked as a lawyer and consultant for various international companies. He has also published numerous articles on international law and other international topics. His book Breaking Boundaries (1996) was selected by the New York Times as one of the five best management books of the year.

His experience abroad, including many trips to China, provided the basis for his crime series about the former investigator Shan Tao Yun, who fell out of favor with the political leadership of China in Beijing and was therefore exiled to Tibet.

Eliot Pattison is married and has three children. He lives with his family on a farm in Oley Valley , Pennsylvania .
