Elisa Resconi

Elisa Resconi (* 1971 ) is an Italian astroparticle physicist .

Life

From 1989 to 1995 she studied physics at the University of Milan . In 1996 she received her master's degree ( Borexino experiment) in Milan . She then did research at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso . In 1997, she began her doctoral thesis at the University of Genoa , where she studied with G. Manuzio and R. Raghavan 2001 doctorate was. From 2002 to 2005 she worked as a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at DESY Zeuthen , and from 2005 to 2011 as a group leader of an Emmy Noether research group at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg.

After a visiting professorship at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg , she moved to the Technical University of Munich in 2011 , where she has held a Heisenberg professorship since 2012 . Since 2019 she has held a Liesel Beckmann professorship for experimental physics at the Technical University of Munich.

Resconi is the spokesman for the DFG Collaborative Research Center 1258 “Neutrinos and Dark Matter in Astro and Particle Physics”.
