Heinz Maier Leibnitz Medal

The Heinz Maier Leibnitz Medal (original spelling Heinz Maier Leibnitz Medal ) is awarded by the Technical University of Munich . Like the Heinz Maier Leibnitz Prize of the German Research Foundation, it is dedicated to the experimental and atomic physicist Heinz Maier-Leibnitz , who was appointed to the then Technical University of Munich in 1952. Since 1997, the Technical University has awarded the medal to teachers and researchers who have made outstanding contributions to the university with scientific, technical or medical achievements.
