Anna-Elisabeth Trappe

Anna-Elisabeth Trappe (born December 5, 1939 in Berlin ) is a German neurosurgeon and full professor at the Technical University of Munich .

Life

After graduating from high school, Trappe studied human medicine at the Technical University of Munich. After receiving her doctorate in 1969, she was trained as a specialist in neurosurgery at Klinikum rechts der Isar until 1975. As early as 1979, Trappe temporarily headed the neurosurgical department of the clinic. 1986 habilitation them with a thesis on chronic subdural hematoma . In 1995, the Technical University of Munich appointed Trappe as the first woman in Germany to hold a chair in neurosurgery; the focus of her research interests is on spinal column and spinal cord diagnostics.

From September 1, 2005 to June 30, 2012, Anna-Elisabeth Trappe headed the III. Surgical department of the Freising Clinic with a focus on spinal surgery and neurotraumatology.

Anne-Elisabeth Trappe is TUM Emerita of Excellence .
