Elisa Trocmé

Elisa Andréa Trocmé (born August 21, 1955 in Pennsylvania ) is a French improvisation musician ( bass clarinet , clarinet ) who is also active as an organizer and author.

Live and act

Trocmé studied history and art history at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris; in addition, she had lessons (including at workshops) with Steve Lacy , Bernard Vitet , Tamia , Michel Fano , George Benjamin , Robert Aitken , Georges Aperghis , Toru Takemitsu and Barre Phillips . From the 1970s she also worked as an instrument maker (with Bernard Vitet), worked in various artistic and music education programs in Paris (including the Center Georges Pompidou , Musée d'art moderne and the Grand Palais ) and New York City. Trocmé lives near Toulouse and organizes the series Le Cycle des Sons et des Mots in the Porte de la Fontaine venue in Toulouse .
