Elisabeth Ellison-Kramer (born September 12, 1964 in Vienna ) is an Austrian diplomat and has been an ambassador to Hungary since February 6, 2017 .

Life

After studying law at the University of Vienna from 1982 to 1989, she began her professional career in the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs, in the department for multilateral relations. She gained experience as an attachée of the Austrian Embassy in Rome, Consul in Los Angeles and Consul General of the Austrian Consulate in Strasbourg . As head of legal and administrative assistance as well as general legal affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ellison-Kramer made a name for herself as the "Angel of Dubai". She succeeded u. a., an Austrian doctor accused in Dubai (he was accused of the death of a patient in a Dubai clinic, threatened several years in prison), as well as a 29-year-old student (rape victim, accused of extramarital sex) from custody and the To allow departure.
