The Eliza Cone is a 70 m high cliff with a rock gate in the group of the East Antarctic Balleny Islands . It is located 1.5 km west of the southern end of Buckle Iceland situated Cape McNab .
Together with the neighboring Scott Cone , the island was named after the schooner Eliza Scott , with whom the British navigator John Balleny discovered the Balleny Islands in February 1839 as part of his Antarctic expedition (1838–1839).
