The Scott Cone is an approximately 30 m high island of the shape of a conical hill in the group of East Antarctic Balleny Islands . It is 3 km north-northeast of the south end of the Buckle Iceland situated Cape McNab .
Together with the neighboring Eliza Cone , the island was named after the schooner Eliza Scott , with whom the British navigator John Balleny discovered the Balleny Islands in February 1839 as part of his Antarctic expedition (1838–1839).
