Elizabeth Inglis

Elizabeth Inglis (born Desiree Mary Lucy Hawkins on July 10, 1913 in Colchester , England , † August 25, 2007 in Santa Barbara , California ) was a British actress , best known for her role in The Secret of Malampur with Bette Davis .

She made her screen debut in 1934 with the film Borrowed Clothes . In 1935 she had a small role in the Alfred Hitchcock film The 39 Steps as Hilary Jordan.

In 1942 she married Sylvester "Pat" Weaver , an American radio manager who was NBC President from 1953 to 1955 . After marrying Weaver, she retired and stopped taking acting roles. The couple had two children, including actress Sigourney Weaver .

Inglis died in Santa Barbara , California in 2007 at the age of 94. She was the last surviving cast member of Hitchcock's film The 39 Steps .
