Elke Klatte
Elke Klatte (born October 2, 1953 in Neubrandenburg ) is a German middle-distance runner who, like her twin sister Edda Klatte, was successful in the 800-meter run in the late 1960s and early 1970s .
On September 28, 1969 in Neubrandenburg she was involved in an (unofficial) world record for a relay of the SC Neubrandenburg sports club in the 4 × 800 meter run (9: 04.2 min: Elke Klatte, Edda Klatte, Cornelia Dornbrack , Elvira Fischer ) .
In 1970 she was GDR champion in the 4 × 800 meter run with the SC Neubrandenburg relay.
The best time she achieved was 2: 06.2 minutes in the 800 meter run (1971). At a height of 1.70 m, she had a competition weight of 60 kg.
