Ellen Bang , bourgeois Ellen Bang-Langenheim (born May 16, 1906 in the German Empire , † after 1959, presumably in Berlin), was a German stage and film actress .

Live and act

Before Ellen Bang first appeared in front of the camera at the age of 28, she was probably acting. However, no permanent commitments can be made out during this period. Even later, only very few permanent stage commitments can be determined and then only at less important venues. For example, Ellen Bang was a member of the Berlin soldiers' stage in the last German season in 1943/44 and of the guest performance stage “Deutsche Bühne” GmbH in her first post-war season (1947/48).

In contrast, she was a busy film interpreter, especially in the Third Reich; Between 1934 and 1945 alone, Ellen Bang played supporting roles in nearly thirty films. She covered the entire spectrum of small parts: from the secretary to the prima ballerina and English lady to a princess. A brief comeback in front of the camera after 1945 brought her three film offers in 1950/51. Ellen Bang made her last appearance in 1951 in what was also the last production by cinema veteran Carl Froelich . After that, she completely disappeared from the public eye. Until the end of the 1950s, evidence of Ellen Bang's residential address in Berlin W 15 has to be proven.
